Dayna Doerksen
U12 Girls Langley - Assistant Coach
Dayna Doerksen is excited to be returning to the volleyball community and joining Legacy Volleyball Club as a coach.
Dayna grew up in Langley and played volleyball at a high level for a lot of her career, eventually earning a spot with the Trinity Western University Spartans where she played for 5 years. During her university career, she competed as a middle blocker and represented the Women’s Canadian team internationally for four years. Her playing experience gave her the opportunity to compete at an elite level while learning from some of the best coaches and athletes in the sport.
After years of playing, Dayna transitioned into coaching and spent many years helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence and love for the game. She especially enjoys helping athletes understand not only the technical side of volleyball, but also the importance of teamwork, resilience, communication and having fun on the court.
After stepping away from volleyball for a season of life to focus on her family, Dayna is excited to get back into the sport she has always loved. She is now a mom of three and feels grateful for the opportunity to return to the volleyball community in a new role.
Dayna is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where athletes can challenge themselves, grow as players and people, and learn to love the game.
