Ken Kleindienst

U16G Head Coach

Ken brings decades of playing and coaching experience to Legacy Volleyball Club, having coached athletes from the early developmental years through to the post-secondary level.

A multi-sport athlete growing up, Ken went on to focus on volleyball at Douglas College, where he was a two-time Provincial MVP and two-time All-Canadian. He also competed on the beach, becoming an Amateur Beach National Champion.

His coaching experience spans school, club and post-secondary volleyball. Ken has coached at Douglas College and was instrumental in establishing the volleyball program at UCFV. Years later, when his daughter began playing volleyball in elementary school, he returned his focus to developing young athletes and has since coached extensively in both school and club programs in Mission and the Fraser Valley.

An NCCP Certified Development Coach, Ken has a strong technical understanding of the game and an ability to break skills down in ways that support long-term athlete development. He also brings a strong strategic and tactical approach to competition.

Fiercely competitive, Ken believes in setting high expectations and challenging athletes to push beyond what they think they are capable of. His goal is to help each athlete reach their potential while developing the skills, confidence and understanding of the game needed to compete at a high level.

Ken is looking forward to joining Legacy Volleyball Club this season and working with the next generation of athletes
